The Princeton Optimist Club has announced that Caleb Coots will be the headline performer for the Black Patch Country Music Show this year.
Coots is a young and upcoming musician making his way into the music industry. He is a young musician but is in no way new to country music, he is the grandson of local music legend Eddie Pennington. He has lived his life watching and surrounded by the music of his granddad Eddie and his uncle Alonzo. 17-year old Coots and his mother Rosebud reside in Cadiz.
Coots explained that music has been a part of his entire life.
click to download audioCoots started performing alongside Eddie around the age of 4 and continues to appear at the Merle Travis Center in Powderly Kentucky on a regular basis. He recently performed at the Nashville Sheraton Hotel at the Chet Atkins appreciation society convention.
Coots said his Black Patch show will include some original music and older country and will be a night of good country music.

click to download audioEven though this is his first time performing solo at a festival he said some of his musical friends might drop by for a song or two. Who knows, with granddad Eddie living in Princeton he might drop by too. The Black Patch Country Show will begin at 6:00 pm on Main Street in front of Ziobros.
