The Cadiz Hometown Heroes project has been immensely successful this year, with the response better than ever expected.
The Hometown Heroes project allows community members to purchase a banner that will hang in Cadiz to honor a veteran or active duty military member. Cadiz City Clerk Barbie Johnson says there has been an overwhelming public response.

click to download audioThe Hometown Heroes project was initially proposed by Trigg County Magistrate Mike Wright, with Cadiz City Council quickly adopting the idea and moving forward with the project. The Cadiz-Trigg County Parks and Recreation Committee and the Cadiz-Trigg County Tourism Commission have both contributed funds to help purchase brackets to hang the banners to keep the cost at $50 each.
