The five men charged in a June home invasion in Hopkinsville were indicted by a Christian County grand jury on Friday.
18-year-old Korey Zivotin, 19-year-old Isaiah Campbell, 30-year-old Marshall Austin II, 24-year-old Michael Sims, and 24-year-old Ajaizion Johnson were each indicted on a charge of first-degree robbery which is a Class B felony.
Hopkinsville Police said the homeowner, 71-year-old Charles “Birddog” Paige and one of the suspects exchanged gunfire during the June 16 home invasion on Glass Avenue.
No one was injured in the shooting and the suspects fled the area before police arrived.
At least two of those charged were on probation or parole for previous offenses in Christian County.
Zivotin was one of six people charged in a robbery and murder on Bethel Street in January 2019. Zivotin was a juvenile at the time but was charged as an adult in the case.
Zivotin pled guilty to a charge of second-degree assault after he and several co-defendants were charged in the fatal shooting of Coryvan Thomas. Shakkory Willis was sentenced to 33 years in prison last year for pulling the trigger in the death of Thomas.
Zivotin entered the guilty plea in March 2020 and received a five-year prison term that was shock probated by the court.
Austin was on probation on a trafficking in meth charge after previously receiving a seven-year sentence in Christian County Circuit Court.
