A traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville led to a stolen vehicle being recovered Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 24-year-old Maryiah Walthour after the vehicle she was driving was found to have been stolen and had a stolen tag from another vehicle on it.
During the stop, marijuana and a scale were reportedly found in the vehicle along with a child that was not restrained.
Walthour and her passenger 29-year-old Stevan Montgomery were both arrested.
After being arrested Montgomery was reportedly able to get his handcuffs in front of him while in the back of a police cruiser.
Montgomery and Walthour were charged with receiving stolen property and theft of a motor vehicle registration plate.
Montgomery was also charged with third-degree escape, second-degree wanton endangerment, and trafficking marijuana.
The car was reported stolen in Guthrie in the tag had been stolen out of Tennessee.
