A Clarksville man and woman were charged after a stolen vehicle was located on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they located a stolen vehicle behind the Rodeway Inn after it was seen by city cameras and watched 43-year-old Jonathan Washington get into the vehicle.
After further investigation, meth, marijuana, and three clonazepam pills were reportedly found inside the vehicle.
Police say when they went to the room Washington was staying in they could see his girlfriend 31-year-old Sarah Murphy grab a knife off the table and run to the bathroom.
An empty bag was reportedly found in the bathroom and water on the toilet seat.
Washington was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), possession of marijuana and meth.
Murphy was charged with tampering with physical evidence.
