Bluegrass On Beshear ‘Pickin For Life’ Will Be Held Saturday

The annual Bluegrass on Beshear “Pickin’ for Life” will be held Saturday at Lake Beshear.

Co-hosts of the event, Jeff Smith and his wife Laura say this is their 9th year in raising money for three local pregnancy care centers. The Smiths say they are really excited about this year’s line up that includes six bands.

click to download audioShe adds the funds raised help support three pregnancy care centers: Door of Hope Pregnancy Care Center in Madisonville, H.O.P.E. Clinic in Benton and Eddyville, and Alpha Pregnancy Care Center in Hopkinsville. Laura notes these pregnancy care centers are faith-based ministry and receives funding through local churches and private donations, but the clinics do not receive any federal dollars to provide the services and support to mothers and fathers.

click to download audioThe Bluegrass on Beshear is a fun-filled, family-friendly day from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m on Saturday. Admission is free with food, drinks, baked goods, and merchandise available for purchase. In addition, there will be more than $3,000 in raffle prizes.
