Goolsby And Turner Entertain Torchlight Tales Crowd

History professor Wayne Goolsby and Christian County Historian William Turner used a pleasant setting by the pavilion at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center to share the story of the Bell Witch from nearby Adams, Tennessee.

Although the bonfire could not be lit because of the burn ban that didn’t dampen the spirits of young and old alike who gathered to hear Goolsby and Turner share the timeless story of Kate who haunted John Bell and his family near Adams, Tennessee between 1816 and 1820.

William Turner says being able to share the story with the large crowd at Jeffers Bend is always an honor.
