Judge Self also accepted the guilty pleas and set final sentencing for 1:00 the afternoon of December 28th. In addition, the judge released Jackson from his ankle monitor after Wednesday’s hearing.
The charges are in connection to a fatal crash that occurred on Princeton Road about a mile north of Sinking Fork Baptist Church in 2019, two days before Christmas. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies said Jackson crossed the center line and hit a truck driven by 32-year old Misty Quarles of Cerulean. Her daughter, 11-year old Alexia Trump, a 6th grader at Sinking Fork Elementary School, died from her injuries within a day of the crash. Quarles died from her injuries the following May after a lengthy hospital stay. Two other people in Quarles’ vehicle were injured in the crash.
