The Christian County Grand Jury returned several indictments Friday including charges of wanton endangerment, unlawful possession of a handgun on school property, and sex-related crimes.
A true bill was returned on 58-year old Janice Arnet Beck of Elkton on four counts of wanton endangerment in connection to reports of shots fired on South Main Street at the Manhatten Motel in Hopkinsville on September 1st of this year. Police said no one was injured.
The grand jury indicted 18-year old Devonni Arkeis Radford of Cadiz on charges of unlawful possession of a weapon on school property and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Radford was arrested at the Stadium of Champions on September 16, 2022 after police officers reported they recognized him from a previous incident and determined he had an active warrant in Logan County. When Radford was taken into custody, police said he was found in possession of a handgun.
61-year old Willis E. Haskins of Hopkinsville was indicted on a second-degree robbery charge. On August 25, 2022, police said Haskins used physical force to take a woman’s phone and money on South Clay Street, which was reportedly captured on video. Shortly after the incident, the woman went to the Hopkinsville Police Department and filed a report.
True bills were returned on 24-year old Maryiah Elise Walthour and 29-year old Stevan Rafeal Montgomery, both of Clarksville, Tennessee, on charges of receiving stolen property over $10,000, theft of motor vehicle registration, and second-degree wanton endangerment. Walthour was also indicted on charges of operating a motor vehicle on a suspended/revoked license, while Montgomery was additionally indicted for trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces – first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Walthour and Montgomery were arrested by Hopkinsville Police after a traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard and determined the car Walthour was driving was allegedly stolen with a stolen tag from another vehicle. During the stop, officers reportedly found marijuana and a scale found in the vehicle along with a child that police said was not restrained.
28-year old Dustin Wayne Kirkman of Hopkinsville was indicted on charges of promoting a sexual performance by a minor under 18 years of age and procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means. The indictment alleges on September 10, 2022, Kirkman produced, directed, or promoted a minor under the age of 18 in a sexual performance and used a cell phone to procure and promote the minor involving sexual activity.
And a true bill was returned on 28-year old Stuart T. Androws on charges of first-degree sodomy – victim under 12-years of age, incest – victim under 12 years of age/or serious physical injury, first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, illegal sex act under 16-years of age, and first-degree sexual abuse – victim under 12-years of age. According to the indictment, the offenses occurred between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2014.
