Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Deb Domke has announced they will kick off the holiday shopping season on Thursday, November 3rd through Saturday, November 5th, with their Annual Holiday Open House, “Keep the Cheer Here.”
According to Domke, you can shop, dine and do business with these participating businesses: Avenue 550, The Joint-BBQ, Wings and More, HU-B’s Outdoors, KY Homes Realty, JO & CO Boutique, Blue Collar Grill, Payroll Vault and Town’s Mercantile. She says each business will be offering exclusive deals during the open house event. When individuals make a purchase, Domke says they are invited to snap a photo of their receipts and text to 270-388-4769 by midnight, November 5th, to be entered into the drawing to win a giant Santa stocking loaded with prizes over $500 from participating merchants. The more receipts you text in, the more chances she says participants have to win. The winner will be announced on Monday, November 7th.
She indicates the open house on Thursday will feature the Dine & Be Merry Locals Dine Out Night, encouraging all area residents to dine out and support local chamber restaurants at the restaurants participating in the holiday open house shopping season.
Domke says the Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce is excited to brand their holiday season with, “Keep the Cheer Here” which promotes spending your holiday shopping dollars with our local businesses that support our local community in so many ways.
The season-long celebration, according to Domke, features a window decorating contest, Breakfast with Santa at The Joint-BBQ, Wings and More, Cookie Decorating Contest and Community Dinner at The Blue-Collar Grill, a Community Holiday Calendar, Black Friday Specials, Small Business Saturday events and more.
