The Kentucky Community and Technical College System has announced it will replace paper college credentials such as certificates or diplomas that were lost due to recent natural disasters in Kentucky at no cost.
As a result, KCTCS will waive the normal $25-$35 fee for printing and mailing the duplicate.
KCTCS President Paul Czarapata said in a release that they want to do whatever they can to support KCTCS students and alumni impacted by these historic and devastating events. He added that as their students, their families, friends and their business partners rebuild and repair, they hope that providing complimentary access to important documents will help provide them a sense of certainty and the tools necessary to build a brighter future.
The office is available to students and graduates of eight KCTCS colleges that serve areas impacted by the last 2021 tornadoes in western Kentucky and the recent flooding in eastern Kentucky. Current students and alumni who, as a result of floods or tornado damage, lost a physical copy of a certificate, diploma or degree earned at one of the schools can request a replacement document by visiting kctcs.co/replace.
The KCTCS colleges included in the initiative are Hopkinsville Community College, Madisonville Community College, Henderson Community College, West Kentucky Community and Technical College in Paducah along with Big Sandy Community and Technical College, Hazard Community and Technical College, Somerset Community College, and Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College.
