A bond reduction for a Madisonville man charged with murder at a motel in Hopkinsville in 2018 was denied in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning.

Terrence Stepp is accused of the death of 42-year old Tami Dragoo, whose body was found inside a room at King’s Court Motel on Fort Campbell Boulevard on the morning of March 7, 2018.

During court Wednesday, his attorney Michael Thompson asked Chief Circuit Judge John Atkins to reduce his client’s bond set at $1 million to $1,000. Judge Atkins denied his motion and scheduled a week-long trial set to begin on April 24, 2023.

Stepp was indicted by a Christian County grand jury in June 2020 on one count of first-degree murder.
