A re-painting of the Hopkinsville town clock, located atop the Woody Winfree Fire Transportation Museum on 310 East 9th Street, is finally complete.
During Tuesday’s Hopkinsville City Council meeting, Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County Executive Director Alissa Keller was able to provide an update on its finish.
Keller thanked the city council for providing the funding needed for the tower’s touch up, which came from a $25,000 grant through T-Mobile.
Nearly a century in age, Keller dove into the history of the clock tower and the building on which it sits — an important, and iconic, part of Hopkinsville’s skyline.
For the next two weekends, the Woody Winfree Museum will play host to a pop-up holiday shop.
Also, set from 2-5 PM Saturday, December 3, Keller added that the ever-popular “Homes For The Holidays” Tour through seven homes has spots available.
Tickets for the tour are $25, and will include the homes at 1914, 1918, 1922, 2000, 2007, 2011 and 2015 South Main Street.
