Woman Injured, Two Charged After Princeton Road Wreck

A woman was injured and two men were charged after a wreck on Princeton Road in Christian County Sunday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Sam Suiter says a truck was northbound attempting to pass a horse and buggy when it struck a southbound car near the intersection of Happy Hollow Road.

The driver of the car Anne Burns was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries.

The driver Victor Blackburn and passenger Tyler Mchughes of the truck were reportedly found to be in possession of marijuana, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia after law enforcement K9 Zico alerted on the vehicle.

Suiter says a glass pipe and meth were also found in the area of the vehicle.

Both men were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, tampering with physical evidence, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mchughes was also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and failure to maintain required insurance. Blackburn was charged with second-degree escape after he reportedly maneuvered his handcuffs to in front of him after being taken into custody.

The crash happened just before 8 pm.
