Hopkinsville Police are investigating a robbery that happened on Eagle Way near Bradshaw Road in Monday morning.
Police say a woman stopped to help another woman who was on the side of the road with a child believing them to have been stranded with a broken-down vehicle.
A male that was with the woman and child on the side of the road allegedly used physical force by hitting the woman that stopped in the face and took her money. The man, woman, and child fled the area in the vehicle they used to make the victim believe they were stranded.
No arrest has been made and no description of the suspect has been released.
