Officials with Trigg County Fiscal Court are asking residents to be prepared when disaster strikes, announcing that “Hyper-Reach” is active and ready for implementation.
An instant communication service, the product allows for people to receive up-to-the-minute text messages to cell phones and email addresses, notifying them of weather concerns and other incident-related notes pertinent to health and safety.
In order to sign up for notifications, one must visit online (at https://signup.hyper-reach.com/hyper_reach/sign_up_page_2/?id=109542) and fill out personal information, including address and phone number.
From there, residents can add other ways to get notified: by asking Amazon’s Alexa to “enable Hyper-Reach,” or through a phone application downloadable in Google Play.
When your phone starts receiving alerts, save the contact. Caller ID will show (270) 398-0471 or (585) 419-0890, while text alerts could come from (833) 472-5378, (618) 589-2255, (618) 589-1337, (618) 589-1351 or (585) 209-5563.
Hyper-Reach is replacing the efforts previously provided by CodeRED.
