North Kentucky Avenue Murder Case Ready For Trial

The murder case of a Hopkinsville woman charged in the October 2020 death of 70-year old Calvin Taylor is ready to go to trial.

Larayna Manning, her attorney Jason Pfeil and Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling appeared before Judge Andrew Self Wednesday afternoon for a pretrial conference, at which time, Pfeil said their experts should be completing evidence testing this week.

click to download audioManning is charged with first-degree murder after Taylor was found inside his North Kentucky Avenue home on October 12, 2020. Her son, Anthony Manning was charged with complicity to murder but he previously entered into a plea agreement with the Commonwealth. Court records show he entered an Alford plea to the facilitation of complicity to commit murder and first degree facilitation of complicity to robbery with each charge carrying a five-year sentence to run concurrently.
