A Princeton woman and a Cadiz woman recently won the WKDZ/WHVO/WPKY “Goodwin Insurance Gives” Contest, and were rewarded with a $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant, and a $100 charitable donation was made in honor of the winner.
Sharon Morris, of Princeton, opted for a $50 gift to Pagliai’s in Caldwell County, and she had her donation placed at the Caldwell County Free Clinic.
Her reason for choosing them, she said, was because her doctor — Debra Wilder — volunteers there, and she thinks they do good work for Caldwell County and the surrounding communities of people “that need to go there.”
Teresa Burns McCaig, of Cadiz, snagged a $50 voucher to the Burger Barn Bar & Grill in Cadiz, and she chose for her donation to be placed with the Cadiz Rotary Club.
Her reason for choosing them, she said, was because they do good things for the community and for the school, and she appreciates that because “she lives in the community, and has children in the school system.”
