USPS To Observe Federal Holidays On December 26, January 2

With Christmas 2022 and New Year’s Day 2023 both falling on a Sunday, the United States Postal Service will be observing these federal holidays on their following Mondays: December 26 and January 2.

As such, no residential or business deliveries should be expected on either of these days, save for Priority Mail Express — which is delivered 365 days a year in select locations for an additional fee.

All post office locations will be open for business and regular mail delivery December 27 and January 3.

There are currently zero plans for limited hours for either Saturday involving Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve.

Customers can visit the online Postal Locator tool at tools.usps.com to find locations and hours of operation.

Blue collection boxes with final collection times before noon will not be affected by an early closing Dec. 24. If a box normally has a final collection time after noon, its mail may be picked up earlier that day.
