Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Stealing From Employer

A Hopkinsville woman was arrested on a warrant for theft after being charged with DUI on South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 39-year-old Tiffany Gilkey was found behind the wheel of her vehicle that a concerned citizen had removed the keys and put it in park. Police say she had slurred speech, appeared to be very sleepy, and was unable to keep her balance.

Two prescription pill bottles and a marijuana joint were allegedly found in her possession.

She was also found to have active warrants one for theft by unlawful taking after she failed to deposit money for her work totaling $1,284 and a second warrant for probation violation.

She was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, theft by unlawful taking, DUI,  prescription controlled substance not in proper container, and probation violation.
