A member of the Cadiz City Council Finance Committee is committing to be oversight of city revenue and expenditures following a unanimous vote during the recent council meeting increase payroll and insurance premium taxes.
Finance Committee member Susie Hendricks made the commitment after making motions to increase the city payroll tax from 1.5 to 1.9 percent and the Cadiz insurance premium tax from 6 to 8 percent.
