Police have released the name of a Hopkinsville man that was flown to a Nashville hospital with severe injuries after a crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police say a car driven by 44-year-old Kyle Clark was northbound when he lost control and hit a guardrail and then a tree causing the car to come to a rest on its top.
Clark had to be extricated from the vehicle by Hopkinsville EMS and then taken to a waiting helicopter to transfer him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Police say a strong odor of alcohol was coming from Clark and an open bottle of Wild Turkey Bourbon was located inside the vehicle.
The crash happened just after 11 p.m. at the Masonville underpass.
