CCHS Hosts Annual 8th Grade Showcase

Teachers and students of Christian County High School spent the day Monday welcoming current 8th graders to showcase the school’s current programs.

Leigh Ellen Malone, the principal for the school’s Freshman Academy, tells the News Edge this day has become a recent tradition.

Malone says students were at each station to talk about their experiences with the programs.

One of the highlights of the day, was the Christian County High School Ag program, which has become one of the biggest in the area.

Malone adds there are also plenty of programs offered at Gateway Academy.

To wrap up the 8th grade day, Malone says a parent night will be held beginning at 5:30 PM Monday in the Christian County High School Media Center. The event will serve as a chance for parents to learn about the programs their students learned about during the school day.
