Activities are beginning to pick up at the Alhambra Theatre in downtown Hopkinsville for 2023.
Pennyroyal Arts Council Executive Director Margaret Prim tells the News Edge they will host a special screening of ‘Respect,’ a 2021 film based on the life of singer Aretha Franklin. The movie will be shown Sunday afternoon, February 19, at 3:00.
Additionally, on Thursday evening, February 25, at 6:00, the venue will host a Theaterworks USA Production of ‘Junie B’s Essential Survival Guide to School.’
As we head toward next month, Prim says they will be the home for Campanile Productions’ latest show. They will perform Meredith Willson’s ‘The Music Man’ from March 9-12th. Tickets are available here.
Prim adds that March is Youth Art Month.
On Saturday, March 18, the Alhambra will host a ‘From Nashville With Strings’ show.
Prim says as the Alhambra Theatre celebrates its 95th anniversary this summer, they will host a special party.
