Officials with Trigg County Fiscal Court have announced they are taking sealed bids on a white 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 — one that belonged to former Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander and was in use for county business under his tenure.
The five-seater extended crew cab is currently parked at the Trigg County Road Department, located at 2759 Hopkinsville Road, with 26,025 miles, and it remains in very good to exceptional condition.
According to its VIN number through Kelly Blue Book, this popular LT pickup has a four-wheel drivetrain with a 5 and ¾-foot bed and a V8 EcoTec3 DFM 5.3 Liter engine. It also has a likely trade-in value north of $37,000.
Per cars.com, the 2021 Chevy Silverado typically has a refined, efficient engine with a responsive transmission, strong steering precision, a roomy rear seat, an intuitive multimedia touchscreen system and an integrated rear bumper step, but at times can have a numb brake-pedal feel, be a bumpy unladen ride, has difficult over-the-left-shoulder visibility and can be difficult to climb into without running boards.
Those interested can stop by the Trigg County Road Department to view the truck personally, while bid sheets can be found either in the truck, or at the office of Judge-Executive Stan Humphries on 38 Main Street in Cadiz.
Bids should be turned in no later than 3 PM, March 3, and the Trigg County Fiscal Court does maintain right of refusal for any and all offers — should it see fit.
