Prim, Lynch, Kent Earn Appointments From Governor’s Office

Governor Andy Beshear announced a few appointments Friday afternoon — some of which belong to familiar faces in west Kentucky.

Margaret Prim, Hopkinsville’s executive director of the Pennyroyal Arts Council, was fittingly tabbed for the Kentucky Arts Council. She replaces Lindsey Jaeger, whose term expired.

Prim shall serve for a term expiring November 18, 2026. Paul Fourshee, of Cadiz, saw his term expired, and Beshear appointed Stephanie Renner, of Louisville, for the spot.

Ruth Lynch, of Hopkinsville, was selected to be a member of the Martin Luther King Jr. State Commission.

Lynch is retired, and will serve until December 12, 2026.

Meanwhile, Nathan Kent, of Cadiz, has been chosen for the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council.

Currently Mayfield’s Chief of Police, Kent replaces Michael Bosse — no longer a police chief — and will serve the remainder of an unexpired term until July 1, 2024.
