If you are looking for a great meal Saturday morning, look no further than the Marine Corps League – Pennyrile Detachment 1150 and its annual pancake and sausage breakfast.
Jack Tomalewicz, the local league Commandant, tells Your News Edge they will start serving food at 7:00 AM at VFW Post 7890 in Cadiz.
The breakfast will be $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
Additionally, there will be a bake sale with all kinds of sweets available and even some loaves of bread made by Trigg County Clerk Carmen Finley.
Tomalewicz says they will also host a special raffle for those who like to partake in adult beverages.
Tomalewicz adds they are continuing to spread the message about the scholarship they offer.
Any high school students interested in the scholarship can talk with their school’s guidance counselors.
Tomalewicz says the group is staying busy and always looking for new Marines to join them.
David Shore, the former Commandant for the local Marine Corps League, adds they raised around $1,300 for Wreaths Across America program in Trigg County last year.
