An Alabama woman was taken into custody after she led law enforcement on a pursuit in Christian County Wednesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they assisted Kentucky State Police with a pursuit that began around the 11 mile-marker of Pennyrile Parkway that started after a traffic stop for speeding. The driver, Ciera Ware, reportedly got onto Interstate 24 traveling at speeds of around 90 mph before deputies attempted to box the car in, the car then struck a deputy’s vehicle and the cable barriers.
Ware was reported missing out of Alabama.
She was treated and transported to the hospital by Hopkinsville EMS to be checked out for possible injuries.
Deputies say it is early in the investigation but she could be facing charges of fleeing or evading police and wanton endangerment.
