Retired HFD Chief Jesse Lancaster Jr. Passes Away

Former fire chief, Jesse Lancaster, Jr. died Friday morning at Christian Health Center. He was 93.

According to an obituary from Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home, Lancaster retired as fire chief after 31 years of service with the Hopkinsville Fire Department. He also worked as a builder with Lancaster Brothers Builders and served on the city council for many years.

He leaves behind his wife, four adult children  and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
