A multi-agency investigation that began in the fall of 2021 has led to the arrest of two Hopkinsville residents after they were federally indicted on drug trafficking charges.

The Hopkinsville Police Department Special Investigations along with investigators from the Drug Enforcement Administration Paducah Post, Kentucky State Police DE/SI West, and Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit jointly investigated a drug trafficking organization reportedly led by Teresa Hayes and Jody Blake.

During the investigation, Hopkinsville Police say investigators seized a significant quantity of crystal meth and fentanyl from Hayes, Blake and other members of their organization.

According to police, a federal grand jury indicted Hayes and Blake on drug trafficking charges in February and the pair were taken into custody on federal arrest warrants on Friday.

Pursuant to the arrest, investigators reportedly seized approximately a half-pound of crystal meth.
