Woman Charged With DUI After Almost Hitting Officer’s Vehicle

A Hopkinsville woman was charged with DUI after she almost hit a police officer’s vehicle head-on Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say 34-year-old Jerika Kendrick cross the center line on West 7th Street nearly hitting a Hopkinsville Police Officer’s vehicle.

During the stop, police say they could smell the odor of alcohol, her eyes were bloodshot, Her speech was slurred, and she was unsteady on her feet.

She was reportedly unable to tell police where she was going to or coming from and she was found to have a DUI suspended license.

She was arrested and charged with DUI second offense, operating on a DUI suspended license, second-degree wanton endangerment, and second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
