A Hopkinsville man was charged with fleeing from police after a traffic stop on South Campbell Street Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop 33-year-old Damien Davis for failing to make a complete stop at a stop sign, along with speeding. Davis pulled into a driveway and then fled on foot, running into the roadway and through backyards before losing his footing and being taken into custody.
Police say Davis had marijuana on him and had a DUI suspended license.
He was arrested and charged with driving on a DUI-suspended license, first-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of marijuana, disregarding a stop sign, and speeding.
