A special prosecutor will be appointed in the McHenry Street murder case with a new trial date likely to be scheduled next week.
Robert Torian III is charged with the fatal shooting of Terrell Moore after the two men got into an argument inside a vehicle on McHenry Street in August of 2019. His trial was scheduled to begin Monday but was delayed during a hearing earlier this month after Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolen took over after the resignation and subsequent retirement of Rick Boling and informed the court a special prosecutor would need to be assigned to this case.
During a hearing Monday morning before Christian Circuit Court Judge Andrew Self, Bolen stated that there is a conflict of interest in her office with this one murder case that will require a special prosecutor appointed.
