Just hours after Kentucky Senator Whitney Westerfield announced he would not seek reelection in 2024, a candidate has entered the fray.
In a release sent to Your News Edge, Craig Richardson, a partner for Richardson & Craig, Attorneys at Law, announced his intention to run Thursday for the 3rd district seat. That district serves residents of Caldwell, Christian, and Muhlenberg counties.
Richardson is a University of Kentucky graduate and a seventh-generation resident of Christian County. He will file hie formal letter of intent with the Secretary of State’s office to launch his campaign in the coming days.
Richardson lives in Hopkinsville, with his wife Katie, and daughter Collins.
