A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up for The Mixer, a popular Hopkinsville restaurant damaged in Friday night’s straight-line wind storm.
The goal is $20,000, which will help employees out of a job until necessary repairs can be made, according to owner Heather Dawson.
The restaurant sustained significant damage to its third floor during Friday’s storm, which was determined to have brought 80 to 90 MPH winds to Hopkinsville.
Building owner Hal McCoy told Your News Edge the building will reopen, hopefully by Thanksgiving. McCoy’s full comments can be found here.
