After nearly 9,000 customers lost power Friday night in Hopkinsville after straight-line winds damaged various points across the city, crews almost have all power restored.
Hopkinsville Electric System General Manager Jeff Hurd says there are less than 75 customers without power as of 6:00 Monday morning. He adds the majority of those need an electrician before they can be energized.
HES will continue to run service trucks throughout the day to hook up any customers who can be reconnected.
HES is working to replace poles and other damaged equipment throughout the city.
