Trigg County Public Schools has announced Matt Boehman as its next assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction.

Boehman, who serves as the principal at Christian County High School, began his teaching career at Trigg County and served as an assistant football coach. Since then, he has served in teaching roles across all grade levels and as principal of both an elementary and a high school.

The school said current Assistant Superintendent Karen Solise will be taking a superintendent position at the Anchorage Independent Schools near Louisville.

Trigg County Schools Superintendent Bill Thorpe said Boehman would bring years of experience and fresh ideas to the school district, while Christian County Superintendent Chris Bentzel said Boehman did “a phenomenal job leading their schools in the elementary and secondary capacities over the past 12 years.

Boehman will begin his new role on July 1.

Christian County High School’s site-based decision-making council will meet Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. to begin discussing the process for selecting a new principal.
