Main Street In Cadiz Re-Opens After Tree Removal

Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Pennyrile Electric have reopened a section of U.S. 68 Business and Main Street in Cadiz to thru-traffic, following Wednesday morning work that required a detour.

A large tree at mile-point 2.367 was damaged during recent high winds, and it threatened power lines and vehicles in the area.

The work, which included limb removal and transport, was completed ahead of schedule, and the detour forced drivers to navigate between Main and Lafayette streets through Line Street.
