Trial Delayed In East 4th Street Murder Case

The trial date of Tavaris Quarles was moved to a later day during a Wednesday morning hearing in Christian County Circuit Court, as a May trial date looms and a special prosecutor has recently been assigned.

Special prosecutor Clayton Adams requested that Judge John Atkins reschedule the trial date, as he has prior engagements the week of the planned proceedings, and needs additional time to thoroughly examine the case file which he received last week. Furthermore, he declared his intention to pursue another indictment against Quarles.
