The Cadiz Rotary Club sold a record number of items for a Wednesday night during night three of the annual radio auction.
The auction featured a $5,000 match for Century Club donations with the Hopkinsville Rotary Club stopping by with a special donation. Hopkinsville’s auction chairman Brandon Killebrew presented the $1,000 check.
Both clubs combined raised over a million dollars last year.
A $10,000 match has been presented for Thursday night’s Century Club donations.
As for night three, auction chairwoman Alana Baker Dunn said $5,579 was raised during the live auction, and over $10,777 was brought in through the Big Deals store.
Wednesday’s Century Club donations brought in an additional $10,000. Baker Dunn said she’s pleased with the community support thus far.
Night four of the auction will start at 6:00 Thursday night at the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex with live coverage on 106.5 WKDZ and the WKDZ app. Bidding also continues in the Big Deals store at WKDZradio.com.
The 2023 Trigg County Project Graduation group will offer dinner before the auction with pork chops and chicken ready by 5:00 PM.
The night will also feature special presentations from Trigg County Public Schools. All four schools have raised money in the last few months and will present their donations.
