The 2023 Cadiz Rotary Club auction received a record amount of donations from Trigg County Public Schools.

During night four of the annual auction, educators presented donations to the club collected over the last few months.

Primary school principal Lindsey Kinslow said their students have a great time raising funds.

Intermediate school teacher Abby Fourqurean presented their school’s donation.

Middle school principal Amy Breckel said they hosted a school-wide dance, a first in recent years.

The middle school raised a record $7,000. The high school raked in $5,000, with the bulk from the annual dodgeball tournament. In total, the district raised a record $28,070.

The youth fundraising was not only done with those older than five. The Cadiz Baptist Church Christian Academy also pitched in and collected money for the rotary club.

Tanna Bush, director of the daycare, said they raised three times the goal she had set.

As for the auction, Thursday night brought in nearly $51,000 in Century Club donations, $8,961 for live auction items, and over $16,800 from the WKDZ Big Deals store. Friday night will start with a $15,000 match for Century Club donations.

Auction chairwoman Alana Baker Dunn asked the community to get ready for a big last night to close out the auction.

Genesis Express will serve a catfish dinner with food expected to be ready by 5:00 PM.
