A Hopkinsville man has been charged after a standoff with law enforcement for several hours Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they responded to a request to check on 44-year-old Kyle Clark and heard several shots when they arrived.
South Main Street in the area of Latham Avenue was blocked off while officers talked with Clark who eventually came out of the home and was taken into custody.
No one was injured in the incident but police say he put several people at risk by firing his weapon inside the house.
Members of the Hopkinsville Police Department SWAT team reportedly located suspected meth inside the home as they were clearing the residence.
Clark was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree disorderly conduct, and possession of meth.
