After seeing two previous trial dates postponed, a bond reduction was requested Wednesday by the attorney of a Hopkinsville man charged with a 2021 murder at a July 4 party.
Leon Grimes was supposed to stand trial last June and then earlier this month, with both dates postponed. His attorney, Ted Shouse of Louisville, had his motion to lower Grimes’s bond confirmed by Judge Self along with setting a new trial date.

Grimes is charged with shooting Calvin Buckner in the chest at a party on Hazel Street.
