Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges Against Hopkinsville Man

A Clarksville man was charged with possession of drugs after a traffic stop on East 9th Street in Hopkinsville Wednesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 31-year-old Dominique Allen was stopped for not using his turn signal and during the stop, a law enforcement K9 alerted on the vehicle. Allen was also found to have a suspended license. Police say meth and various pills were found inside the vehicle along with a 12 gauge shotgun in the trunk.

Allen was arrested and charged with operating on a suspended or revoked license, failure to or improper signal, possession of meth, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).
