Hopkinsville Rotary Approaching $350,000 With Final Night

The Hopkinsville Rotary Club’s annual fundraising auction is approaching the $350,000 mark as rotarians head into the final night at the War Memorial Building.

Auction Chairman Brandon Killebrew said Friday night rotarians sold $13,855 worth of items in the main auction, with the Diner and sweet shop bringing in $8,198, the Hour Club raising 11, 466, with the Friday night total at 33,519.

Through five nights the Hopkinsville Rotary Auction has raised $348,116, with the main auction raising $68,516, the Diner and sweet shop bringing in $31,630, and the Hour Club raising $247,970.

During Friday night’s auction Rotarians presented a $5,000 grant to the Men2Be organization and an $11,000 grant to the Salvation Army to send kids to camp this year.

The final night of the auction begins at 6:00 Saturday night at the Memorial Building, with the auction to continue until all items are sold. Hour Club donations are still being sought, and supporters are encouraged to contact the club at 270-886-3034 to make a donation.
