Noel Wayne “Blackie” West, age 79, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Baptist Health Deaconess of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, and burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. West was born in Hopkinsville, on July 8, 1943, the son of the late William and Cola Lee Winders West. Blackie was retired from the Hopkinsville Fire Department. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles and Bridge of Hope Fellowship. He was a veteran of the US Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy West; his sister, Shirley West.
Survivors include his wife of 60 Years, Sarah Elliott West of Hopkinsville; his daughter, Kimberly Adcock McNeiley, and her husband Jeff of Hopkinsville; his brothers, Jeff West and his wife Becky of Hopkinsville, and Jimmy West and his wife Linda of Hopkinsville; his sister, Shelia Covington of Hopkinsville; his grandchildren Joshua Adcock and his wife Jennifer and Lacey Adcock; his great-grandchildren, Jacob, Layton, Bentley, Mason, Eric, and Calvin.
