Funeral services for 84-year old Grace Pool Rucker of Pembroke will be Friday, April 28, aat 1:00 at Casky Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will take place Friday from 11:00 until the funeral hour at the church.
Hughart, Beard, and Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her children: James Myron (Sue) Rucker and Kathy Rucker (Michael) Anderson both of Pembroke, KY; her grandchildren: Daniel Joseph (Katrina) Rucker of Hopkinsville, KY, Sarah Marie Rucker (Ryan) Turner of Trenton, KY, Alexander Bailey Anderson of Tampa, FL, and Andrew Goodson Anderson of Birmingham, AL; and eight great grandchildren.
A native of Christian County, KY she was born September 17, 1938 the daughter of the late Myron Woodrow Pool and Marie Pool. She worked as a teller at First City Bank before going into real estate. She served as a Real Estate Agent and a Broker/Owner of Baker Realtors. She then worked for Re-Max and Coldwell Banker Realtors. Growing up on the farm, Grace learned to drive and operate the different machinery, which came in useful when she volunteered to drive the church bus and later when she drove the Book Mobile for a couple of years.
Grace was a member of Casky Baptist Church. She was a member of the Christian County Republican Party as well as the Christian County Republican Women. She was a member and Past President of the Hopkinsville – Christian and Todd County Board of Realtors. She was also a member of Junior Auxiliary, the Business and Professional Women’s Club, and the St. Elmo Homemakers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Sanford Rucker.
