Trigg County Intermediate School students learned all about dairy cows Monday during a presentation from Southland Dairy Farmers.
Haley Fisher, Kentucky Mobile Dairy Classroom Instructor, said their program is a checkoff for dairy farmers, with funding coming from select producers across the Commonwealth.
Fisher added children are always surprised by what she shares.
The program was brought in locally by the Trigg County Farm Bureau Federation.
Cy Dossett, an agent with the Trigg County Farm Bureau, thanked Becky Marlowe for her efforts.
Marlowe thanked Abby and John David Fourqurean for their work.
Marlowe said they hope to bring a lot more agriculture to the classroom in the future.
