The Salvation Army of Hopkinsville held its annual volunteer appreciation luncheon Tuesday afternoon.
The meal took place at Ruff Park, where the organization gave out its “Top Bell-Ringer” awards.
The overall award went to the Hopkinsville Rotary Club. Rotarian Andrew Wilson said the work done through the Salvation Army is important.
The Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club was given the award for overall civic club participation. Kiwanian Dustin Thompson said the organization helps out the youth in the community and that they work hand-in-hand.
Atmos Energy and Men 2 Be were also honored for their efforts over the last year with the Salvation Army of Hopkinsville.
The organization hosts its annual Red Kettle campaign around Christmas, with several businesses across the community accepting donations for the program.
