A man was charged with trafficking drugs during a burglary investigation near Westside Park in Hopkinsville Wednesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for a report of a burglary in progress and when they arrived 21-year-old Detraveon Chamberlain was found in the area.
When they attempted to talk with him he reportedly tossed a bag that had a loaded handgun, 8 grams of cocaine, and 132 dollars in cash inside of it.
He was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of cocaine.
